#this is why Harold’s relationship with TM is legitimately terrifying#not because it might suddenly go crazy and kill him at any point#although the prototypes did a fine job of trying to accomplish that#but because it LOVES Harold too much#it imprints on him#it alters its own code to take care of him#imagine having all that power#with its infinite resources and capabilities#focused on one person#the terrifying thing is that#if there was ever a situation where TM#was forced to choose between the entire world and Harold#it would choose him in a heartbeat#that’s why Harold locked it up#not because it was acting too malicious#but because it was acting too HUMAN#all humans have that one thing that we would put above the rest of the world#we just don’t usually have to make that choice#most of us don’t have that power#but TM does#and it would’ve chosen Harold every single time#Harold needed to stop it from showing preferential treatment#he needed it to treat everyone equally (via @potcpoi)
