I rather liked this interaction between Winter and Weiss. 

Weiss is stubbornly trying to pretend everything’s fine. Winter affectionately teasing her as only an older sibling can because she knows what Weiss is going through and is trying to guide her to a decision without making it for her. 

I thought it was important that Winter doesn’t try to influence or make the decision for Weiss like their father probably has done her entire life. She lays it out for her sister and leaves the decision to her without injecting judgement into either option. 

Having gone down that path before, Winter probably understands that Weiss needs to start being her own person apart from the family. It’s easy to see why Weiss loves Winter so much after this ep.
